John Deere Credit is looking for a Database Marketing Analyst in our Marketing Services Area.
Starting salary: $47,000 - $50,500 commensurate with experience. Total compensation includes salary, bonus, and comprehensive benefits.
MAJOR PURPOSE:
Conducts market analysis on industry trends, markets, financial, and statistical data used in market and product development activities. Also maintains statistical reports to support business planning and decision-making. With supervision, may assist in the development of new and
existing products/markets through research, etc.
MAJOR DUTIES:
* Compiles, analyzes, and disseminates historical and current data to provide management with analytical trends and analysis.
* Assists and executes complex queries and analysis for targeting specific programs utilizing standard and/or advanced analytical tools.
* Designs, builds and delivers statistical reports based on the analysis results.
Technical Skills &Knowledge:
* Familiarity with analysis methods (Return on Investment and Net Present Value). (Performs more complex functions, understands principles, may teach
others.)
* Knowledge of statistical analysis, economics and trend forecasting. (Has a good understanding of the principles and can independently use the
knowledge.)
* Knowledge of SAS, Excel, access, and business objects.
* Understanding of market segmentation and retail distribution systems. (Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with
assistance.)
* Competitive market knowledge. (Has a general understanding of the principles and uses the knowledge with assistance.)
Education: .
* Degree in a Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience. (University Degree (3 years or equivalent))
* Degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline or equivalent experience. (University Degree (4 years or equivalent))
* Degree in an Agricultural Sciences discipline or equivalent experience.(University Degree (3 years or equivalent))
* Degree in a Marketing discipline or equivalent experience. (University Degree (3 years or equivalent))
Relevant work experiences:
* Product or service development process/management experience. (Less than 1 year)
* Gathering market data using research tools; applying statistical analysis principles/methodologies to make recommendations. (1 - 3 years)
* Field experience with regular customer contact, knowledge of dealer/distribution network, limited geographic area of responsibility, and
broad product knowledge. (1 - 3 years)
* Project management experience. (Less Complex Project, consists of some or all of the following criteria: 5 or less persons on the project team; 1 or
2 disciplines involved; 1 or 2 facilities involved; scope in dollars is less than $500,000 and is determined on budget, revenues generated,
savings, etc.)
