John Deere Construction & Forestry Division is seeking a Forestry Biomass Manager to initiate and manage development of programs and projects for John Deere's forest biomass business. This position identifies, analyzes, and recommends new market and product needs to senior management and supports the evaluation of market and product attractiveness and represents John Deere as the business expert within the biomass industry. In this position you will:
Research, design and analyze opportunities where John Deere products may provide solutions to the biomass industry.
Direct the analysis, planning and development of new business and product opportunities within the biomass industry.
Create strategic business and marketing plans for management approval to grow John Deere's presence in the biomass industry.
Build business relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure John Deere's success in the biomass business.
Build and lead teams that implement identified projects.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Forestry or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experiences
10+ years experience in forestry industry.
Broad knowledge of Woody Biomass Industry.
Strong understanding on the legislative/economic drivers of Woody Biomass industry.
Knowledge of Forestry products and applications.
Excellent communication skills.
Willing to travel 75%.
Desired Skills and Experiences
Knowledge of Forestry industry and Logging methods.
Developed relationships with industry experts regarding woody biomass.
