John Deere Horicon Works is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to provide daily supervision of administrative and technical issues involving a functional group of engineers and engineering support personnel who work on one or more processes or technologies across product lines or multiple processes within a product line or a specific project. In this position, you will:

Supervise a department of 6 to 8 engineers in the areas of assembly, weld and facility layout.
Implement lean manufacturing concepts.
Project management and implementation of new product programs.
Support daily operations in achievement of factory goals in the areas of safety, quality, delivery & cost.
Implement the Deere Production System and Deere Product Quality System.
Establish capital and expense budgets.
Complete facility capacity analysis.

Qualifications

Education

BS in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology or General Engineering required.
Required Skills and Experience

3 to 5 years Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering experience within manufacturing.
Experience in facility layout & project management.
Desired Skills and Experience

Background in Lean Manufacturing, Demand Flow, One Piece Flow and other manufacturing concepts.
Previous supervisory experience.
