We are looking for a highly motivated and entrepreneurial individual to help grow the Xbox Live Marketplace business into a significant profit driver of the overall Xbox 360 business.
Xbox Live Marketplace is critical to our plans of establishing Xbox 360 as the #1 console in the next generation, and you will play an integral role in making that a reality.
Responsibilities: Your key areas of focus will be
1. Own the all-up Marketplace Rhythm of the Business, executive roll-ups, strategy reviews and business P&L's, and provide input into the financial reporting process.
2. As an integral member of the Marketplace Strategy and Business Development team, help identify, evolve, and execute against the "Big Bets" required to grow Marketplace. This would involve helping with the creation of business plans as well as working closely with product, planning, marketing, regional teams to implement agreed-upon strategy.
3. Act as the core Marketplace representative in our efforts to streamline business intelligence, consumer research, team communication, and Microsoft Points initiatives.
Qualifications:
To succeed you will need highly developed analytical skills, ability to solve unstructured business problems, solid relationship and communication skills in working with senior executives and be able to effectively develop key processes and procedures that facilitate efficient planning, reporting and control processes.
In addition, experience in defining business models and conducting market analyses and in identifying and prioritizing technical and business requirements is a requirement. You should be self-sufficient, able to operate with minimal supervision, and capable of driving a complex project across multiple groups. The ideal candidate will have an MBA or equivalent plus a minimum of 3-5 years experience in business development or a related field. Prior experience in the gaming or entertainment industry would be a huge asset, and passion for playing games would be preferred.
