* Work focus includes all investment casting components / parts across GE Energy products; primarily nickel-base and cobalt-base super alloy stator and rotor turbine blades, and associated post-cast processing.
* Assess supplier manufacturing and technical capability for new supply base and secondary sources. Develop supplier process & Technology capability metrics.
* Own "should cost" estimate for new technology & components at sources.
* Provide technical process expertise to sourcing in support of key NPI programs. Assess supply base process development implications of new product introduction.
* Lead / Support game changing direct material productivity projects.
* Ensure coordination between supplier quality engineers, engineering and product management during key part reviews.
* Provide technical guidance for Sourcing COE's as needed.
* Provide Technical support for key Casting related supplier development working in coordination with Sourcing commodity Managers, Supplier quality engineers (SQE's) and the product engineering teams.
Qualifications
* Minimum Bachelor's technical degree from an accredited college.
* Minimum 5 years of manufacturing engineering, design engineering, sourcing quality or advanced manufacturing engineering in Metallurgy, and/or Investment Casting.
* Minimum of 6 months Quality experience or Greenbelt Certification (GE employees only).

* Strong written and verbal communication skill.
* MS / MBA Technical or Business Degree.
* BB / MBB Certification (GE employees only).

* Salary, Band, Location and Relocation Benefits are negotiable. This position may be offered at a lower band if the candidate meets the job requirements.
