John Deere Phoenix International is seeking a Product Manager to be responsible for managing projects involving department or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of a product or system to external customers. In this position, you will:
Develop corporate and/or organizational policies and authorizes their implementation.
Provide general direction to and review of senior managers in various areas, groups, and/or operations.
Interact internally and externally with executive level management requiring negotiation of extremely difficult matters to influence policy making.
Direct and control the activities of one or more Product Engineering Teams, through managers with overall responsibility for the direction of those assigned areas.
Travel as necessary to meet with customers and suppliers to accomplish the functions described above.
Perform the above tasks with only limited guidance in line with a broad plan, budget, or strategy.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred.
Required Skills and Experience
Commercial experience in a related design or manufacturing field required.
Must be able to work with moderate guidance in line with a broad plan, budget, or strategy.
Must be able to manage project scope, analyze and take actions on scope changes to achieve or modify project objectives.
Must have substantial depth of knowledge in all areas of design, verification, validation, and manufacturing of electronic assemblies consisting of electronic hardware, software, and mechanical packaging.
Be able to develop, manage, and communicate information in a clear and organized manner, including managing customer relationships to ensure clarity of understanding of objectives.
Be able to manage cross-functional team performance to achieve results, and identify and resolve conflicts.
Must be willing to travel 25% of time.
Must be willing to relocate to the Fargo, North Dakota area.
Desired Skills and Experience
Previous experience in an agriculture or electronics industry.
