HSN.com, a top 50 Ecommerce Retailer, is looking for a highly creative, team oriented Art Director who understands how to craft beautiful, intuitive site designs within the context of a templated website environment. Reporting to the HSN.com Creative Director, the Art Director will work on a broad range of projects, from shopping experiences, to online marketing, to feature functionality. The Art Director will be an active participant in developing ongoing content strategy and will help shape the overall site design.
Responsibilities
Create on-brand, on-strategy, compelling creative work
Closely partner with all parts of the business (e.g. Producers, Marketing, Product Management) to develop engaging and effective creative that drives business goals
Develop promotional concepts that leverage movement, video, and interactivity
Develop new shopping applications and content rich experiences
Run prototype designs through user testing
Support basic, day-in-day-out site updates and online marketing initiatives
Manage priorities and consistently deliver high quality creative work
Requirements:
Strong, clear creative vision
Ability to interact at both a strategic and tactical level
Team player with exceptional interpersonal and solution-oriented attitude
Good understanding of information architecture and user-centered design
Good understanding of template design and building reusable components
Basic Flash skills a plus
Basic HTML skills a plus
Minimum 3 years web design experience
Minimum 5 years of graphic design experience
Current portfolio with web design samples
