John Deere Agricultural Equipment Division - Thibodaux, Louisiana is seeking an Electrical Engineer to support continuous improvement efforts as well as product development programs. In this position, you will:
Identify solutions and document problem resolution for electrical system and cab issues.
Participate on cross functional design teams to develop and implement new electrical and electronic systems.
Work closely with other team members to optimize designs for quality, cost, and manufacturability.
Team with Product Support to develop technical manuals
Team with the Product Verification &Validation (Test) group to develop and execute electrical test plans.
Work with Manufacturing and Quality to ensure that assembled products function as designed and meet quality specifications.
Travel as required to accomplish tasks required of this position.
Education
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience
1 year of experience with tools (e.g. oscilloscopes, multi-meters, etc.).
1 year of experience troubleshooting DC circuits.
Technical judgment to solve problems.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Good organization skills.
Good customer service skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience with product development.
Experience with microcontrollers.
Experience with communication networks (e.g. CAN, ).
Experience with communication protocols (e.g. J1939, ).
