Position Description
As member of Space Exploration, NASA Ares program business management team, leads proposal development and negotiation and provides contracting expertise to develop and negotiate complex creative business solutions for R&D, advanced product development as well as new and follow-on business. Represents the company to the Boeing NASA customer and others as opportunity dictates. Solely authorized to exercise commitment authority in negotiating and contracting for the sale or development of complex, high performance space launch vehicles. Administers complex contracts and agreements to ensure efficient, effective and compliant performance during the entire acquisition and product lifecycle including interpretation of contract requirements, terms & conditions, risk management, change management, conflict resolution, delivery and payment for products and services. Effectively interacts with internal and external customers to achieve program goals and ensure successful contract execution. Establishes professional networks and customer rapport to facilitate company objectives and customer satisfaction. Provides contracts and pricing mentoring, technical and operational leadership across the enterprise. Partners in the development of business unit strategy and achievement of goals. Requires detailed knowledge and experience in the defense/aerospace industry proposal process.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree and 10 to 14 years' related work experience, a Master's degree and 8 to 12 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
