The IEB Global Marketing Team is looking for an International Product Marketing Manager to lead subsidiary engagement and be a champion supporting the integrated marketing, and business efforts for its Xbox and Games for Windows business in the EMEA region.
This individual will reside in Redmond and work closely with the Global Product Marketing, Marcom and the Regional teams to create marketing strategies and breakthrough marketing plans optimized for the individual region. You will also help drive adoption and execution of strategies and plans at the local level and serve as the conduit for feedback and information.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ensure IEB business is being supported appropriately by encouraging proper subsidiary focus on executing to strategy, spending, forecasting, reporting etc.
Support the IEB business by intimately understanding International markets, personnel, channels and competitors. Proactively recommend the most effective marketing levers (pricing, promotion, PR, etc), secure support for initiatives and analyze tradeoffs from a financial or relationship perspective to realize business goals. Recognize issues and drive course corrections as needed.
Drive improved communication and visibility with Redmond. Be the primary Marketing point-of-contact and escalation for the subsidiaries. Work closely with Product Marketing and Marcom teams to ensure proper information flows to and from Redmond.
Be the International marketing champion for existing and to-be-launched products by directly interfacing and motivating the Global marketing strategies and tactics (including/not limited to collateral, advertising, PR, merchandising, incentives and messaging).
Evangelize the work of the subsidiaries to Redmond and drive the awareness and exposure of regional best practices to Redmond Product Marketing and Marcom teams as well as other subsidiaries. Provide reporting, analysis and insights on International markets as needed or requested.
Work closely with the Retail WWBM organization to effectively manage and track sales, forecasting, etc., and drive the appropriate scorecard review and ROB processes for your region, including START planning and preparation.
Define and create appropriate opportunities for Global and subsidiary engagement aligning with the Global ROB for both IEB and Retail sales and marketing.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of clear strategic thinking, extraordinary communication skills, and the ability to empathize with , motivate and lead by influence members across a virtual team. He/she should have persuasive presentation skills, be able to identify market-moving levers, and clearly prioritize multiple, concurrent tasks and drive them to completion. Solid organization, leadership, team-building and analytical capabilities
Other qualifications of the ideal candidate include:
3-5 years experience as a marketing professional/marketing manager
International travel required (est. 50%)
Prior consumer marketing experience, gaming industry experience a plus
Prior international projects or field experience a plus, but not a requirement
Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) is required. MBA a plus.
