John Deere World Headquarters is seeking a Supply Base Manager (Facilities) to be responsible for developing and managing effective on-going relationships with the Facilities Management leadership of our company to develop and manage supply chain strategies for building & grounds; electrical/HVAC; janitorial; energy & utilities; medical & safety; garage & mobile equipment approximately $300M in annual spend. And where appropriate develop consistent and complimentary strategies on a global basis. In this position, you will:

Lead multi-unit/multi-disciplined teams through definition, development, & implementation of strategic sourcing solutions.
Be responsible for project management for planning, coordination, budgeting, & implementing.
Conduct in-depth analysis of markets & supply base characteristics and drivers.
Conduct in-depth stakeholder analysis and assuring that all areas impacted are appropriately engaged in the decision and management process.
Direct involvement & and overall responsibility for outcome of supply base negotiations & supply agreements.
Be responsible for comprehensive project communication plans and assures plans are deployed and utilized.
Be responsible for benchmarking and integration of industry "leading practice" solutions for strategic Supply.
Be responsible for ongoing management and continuous improvement of strategic solutions.
Be responsible for supervision and work direction for associates participating on project teams.




Education



Degree in Business Management / Supply Management / Engineering / Technology or equivalent experience.







Required Skills and Experience

In-depth understanding of general contracting; mobile & non-mobile; and energy industries.
Excellent project management skills * Experience managing diverse stakeholder inputs.
Successful negotiating experiences.
Experience developing/managing contracts.
Thorough cost analysis capabilities.
Excellent communications skills.
Willingness to travel 25% National and International.



Desired Skills and Experience



Work experience in Facilities Engineering, Facilities Maintenance and/or Facilities Management.
Experience developing and managing large scale projects e.g. multi-unit or multi-divisional preferred.
Experience Managing Contracts and Supplier Relationships.
Knowledge and application of Supply Management processes and tools.
Experience leading cross functional teams.
