John Deere Seeding is seeking a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to plan, coordinate, perform product design, testing and/or analysis work for a complete project of broad scope or for a significant portion or a sub-system of a major and diverse project. In this position, you will:

Work with complete hydraulic systems on Seeding Group machine platforms and integrate suppliers to develop the hydraulic designs. Utilize virtual tools early in the development of hydraulic systems.
Work with manufacturing engineering, supply management, marketing, and quality on cross functional teams to optimize hydraulic designs for cost, quality, and manufacturability.
Support current electronic product in the field by working closely with Dealer Technical Information Center (DTAC) as needed.
Utilize SAP to create engineering change notifications for release of components and subsystems into production.

Education

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Agricultural Engineering or 7+ years of equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience

Excellent communication skills-must interface successfully with engineers and personnel of other disciplines.
Strong customer focus.
Product engineering hydraulic experience.
Desired Skills and Experience

Understanding of the theory of operation and customer interaction with agricultural equipment.
ProEngineer experience.
SAP experience.
Utilization of Six Sigma tools.
