John Deere Augusta Works is seeking a Forecast Analyst to manage compact utility tractor option forecast. In this position, you will:
Work closely with master scheduler and demand planner to ensure proper material requirements align with customer demand and production plans.
Perform regular statistical analysis to determine trends in customer demand and recommend changes to option forecast and/or production plan.
Manage and lead complete goods product structure audits for all tractors built in Augusta.
Work closely with Accounting, Supply Management and Engineering to ensure product structure is setup and maintained accurately.
Monitor and audit material consumption to ensure proper financial reporting.
Perform root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Perform weekly Sales and Operations Plan Analysis and Reporting.
Monitor and ensure retail sales, production and shipments are occurring according to plan.
Report and recommend changes to product mix or volume changes to align with customer demand.
Create and maintain master production schedules.
Update information in the Demand Management Database.
Maintain schedules in the operating system based on forecast.
Communicate engineering change decisions to production.
Ensure computer systems accurately reflect material requirements as driven by forecast and actual orders.
Create optimized build sequence that honors manufacturing constraints and delivery date promised to the customer.
Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with management and representatives from Order Fulfillment, Marketing, Engineering, etc. to discuss current and future schedules and forecast.
Education
Degree in a Business/Management, Engineering/Technology, Supply Management discipline or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Working knowledge of SAP and COMAR (Legacy) information systems.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel – specifically pivot tables and formulas.
Understanding of Bills of Material.
Promotes Team Atmosphere.
Excellent organizational and decision making skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
Understanding of Deere Production System and Lean Manufacturing.
Manufacturing and/or operations experience.
Microsoft Access Databases and Business Objects experience.
