Position Description
Responsible for monitoring the daily performance of the GMD Site Logistics functions supporting the IPO Product Team at the Fort Greely Alaska site. Is the site Lead for IPO Logistics at Fort Greely. Maintains processes, methods and tools required for the operation of logistics support. Administers product support processes such as support system analysis and planning, estimating and schedule analysis, coordination and execution of inventory and execution of the basics processes related to spares, repairs and supply chain management. Maintains communication with Site Logistics Manager and Product Teams on matters such as maintenance activities for parts availability, order status and current schedules for delivery of products and services. Works according to established Boeing guidelines. Applies experience gained primarily on the job to investigate and develop solutions to problems of moderate scope and complexity as support planning and analysis; estimating and scheduling. Works closely with the site teams to resolve daily support issues and coordinates with the IPO and Logistics Manager. Provides guidance on shipping and handling hazardous materials and ordinance. Operates Material Handling Equipment such as forklifts and tractor trailers. Coordinates with central control in LogCC Huntsville. Coordinates the development of advanced sustainment services for fielded products within the customers environment. Assists customer supply and transportation personnel in understanding the intent and disposition of technical documentation; identifies need for and develops training on product support concepts, procedures and tools. Resolves complex logistics issues. Maintains established field offices. Reviews field activity reports.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree and 10 to 14 years' related work experience, a Master's degree and 8 to 12 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Job related information
REQUIRED: Knowledge and experience with logistics policies and procedures. Knowledge of supply and procurement processes and procedures. Knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Agency requirements, material handling equipment, shipping and receiving operations, Hazmat materials, export control and packing and crating. DESIRED: Experience with missile systems, transportation, maintenance, supply support, inventory control, and operations. Familiarity with a Computerized Inventory and Maintenance Management Systems (CIMMS) applications such as MP2, CBS-X or DataStream 7i and with Microsoft Office software applications. Purchasing using Boeing programs.
