The Windows Gaming Experience team is looking for a motivated, passionate, experienced Web content producer to help manage several Games for Windows based online properties. We seek an individual who can collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve the quality of our online offerings; as well as formulate and implement smart content and programming strategies that will drive traffic, grow unique users, expand reach and increase user engagement.
Candidates must have strong project management skills as well as experience in daily content production of a high-traffic web site. Strong editorial judgment, plus the ability to balance needs of end users and partners, is required. Must be able to handle multiple editorial and programming responsibilities concurrently, and work well under regular deadline pressure in a constantly evolving environment. You will be expected to work closely with other producers, editors, external content partners, and internal groups to develop and program an outstanding content line-up that contributes to high user satisfaction and engagement while maximizing brand awareness and marketing goals.
Primary responsibilities include daily publishing using propriety Web tools, editorial/content programming of various Games for Windows online properties and multiple XML feeds, content management of art and visual assets, network promotion and partner management. Other responsibilities include: High-touch external partner, communication, project management, performance tracking and analyzing reporting data, driving production decisions based on traffic patterns and customer feedback, driving content development and promotion of select site features to map back to overall business goals.
Qualified candidates must have 4-7 years of online content development and project management experience, including weekly/daily web publishing and managing projects of at least one month in duration. The ideal candidate has a drive for achieving business results and a passion for content quality and a demonstrated history of proactive, organized, work. The position requires excellent organizational, writing/editing, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to suggest and implement programming/content initiatives and analyze results. Excellent communication skills and an ability to manage multiple roles, multiple projects and multiple deadlines are a must. The ideal candidate also has a good understanding of the trends and properties that the online audience would find useful, entertaining and compelling. A passion for PC Gaming is a must. Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or a combination of work experience and education in a related field is required. Basic understanding of HTML, XML, FLASH, and a familiarity with graphic design programs is also required.
