Rarely does a Business Development opportunity come along that is unique, rewarding, and the staff is very involved in community needs. Unique in cell site real estate lease optimization/asset management working with landlords and mobile operators. Rewarding in 50% travel and compensation package. As Director of Business Development, you must build relationships with GMs and Regional Network Operations Managers of the major wireless carriers. Act as liaison between carriers and cell site landlords in the administration of lease programs that allow carriers to maximize operating efficiency and enable landlords to secure their cell site income.
As a sales relationship manager with extensive experience creating new leads and establishing high level relationships within wireless carriers, you will secure new client contracts for the provision of third party services to such clients. Such services would center on the negotiation, financing, management and/or administration of wireless site leases. Works with Operations, Finance, Legal/Contracts and other internal staff members to develop proposals and close deals. Extensive wireless experience and related client connections within corporate entities are critical elements necessary for success.
Prospect for and identify new business opportunities with wireless carriers within assigned territories/projects/etc. Identify and develop relationships with key contacts in these companies to understand their desire for negotiation, financing, management, and/or adminstration services. Must be able to independently develop and manage his or her own acquisition pipeline and meet or exceed monthly performance metrics.
Manage wireless carrier accounts from inception to closing. Responsible for maintaining and managing the client's expectations and able to recommend business solutions/alternatives for projects.
Accurately forecast, maintain and report acquisition pipeline and drive deal closure within assigned territories/projects/etc. Maintain account, contact, and opportunity information in CRM application.
5 or more years in corporate level sales / business development with experience in the wireless industry.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of the sales/acquisition process, relationship sales and the ability to navigate across complex environments.
Experience negotiating lease contracts and related business terms.
Strong prospecting experience. Current contacts in wireless industry required.
Superior written and verbal communication skills, especially to high level decision makers and executives.
2 or more years in real estate and property management cell site acquisition inclusive of the leasing process and lease administration in the wireless industry.
Nice compensation package with base salary in the 120s with total target in 1st year at $150k-$180k; at plan is $300k in 3 years and can lead to VP level. Must be willing to relocate to Southern California, company provided superb benefits package.
