Education and Related Experience Requirements:
M.S. or equivalent. Experience in cell biology and immunology. Experience in multiplexing platforms such as Luminex and MSD. Experience in a GLP laboratory environment including writing and following SOPs and validations. Some supervisory experience useful, with demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
Basic Purpose and Objective:
This position will utilize multiple techniques in cellular and molecular biology to manage and report studies conducted to evaluate immune mediated or toxicological responses in clinical and preclinical studies of novel drug compounds.
Job Responsibilities:
Manage multiple experimental biology studies through supervision of technical staff, review of work conducted, periodic sponsor discussions and reporting and interpreting experimental results.
Contribute to scientific discussions with peers, subordinates, sponsors and study directors utilizing general knowledge of immunology to design studies and interpret results.
Performs functional immunology assays and in accordance with SOPs, and conforming to GLP guidelines
Operate, maintain, calibrate and trouble shoot analytical instruments according to SOPs and manufacturer’s manuals.
Contribute to the scientific community via presentation of posters or refereed publications.
Train and mentor staff.
Minimal travel is expected in order to contribute to a global harmonized experimental biology service as well as to support business development and sponsor scientific needs.
Performs any other duties as required or assigned.
