Position Description Control Solutions is seeking a professional to assume the role of Director of IFRS. The successful candidate will be a highly-experienced accounting professional with exceptional management, business development and customer relations skills. We are looking for an entrepreneurial, teamwork oriented and highly motivated professional who can lead this practice area. This person will be responsible for the development of the IFRS practice and will include delivery on multiple engagements, involvement in business development, and responsibility for managing and developing staff members. The job responsibilities will consist principally of the following:
Leader for company-wide IFRS practice
Ability to advise and train clients on IFRS
Ability to train internal staff on IFRS
Direct client responsibility on multiple engagements
Will assist in the business development process
Other duties as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience:
Expert level IFRS experience
Prior experience advising clients on IFRS
Prior experience training others on IFRS
Solid understanding of US GAAP
Must have large-scale project management experience
Ability to deal with challenging client situations
Willing to travel on a regular basis
10-15 years Accounting experience
BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
Consulting experience (prior Big 4 experience preferred)
CPA, Chartered Accountant, or related designations preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to interact with various levels of client and company management
Nonessential Skills and Experience:
MBA or other related advanced degree
Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint; ACL & MS Access a plus
