John Deere Power Systems is seeking an Industrial Engineer to plan, coordinate and perform manufacturing engineering work for a project or process of moderate scope or for a significant portion of a major and diverse project or process. In this position, you will:
Create, modify and insure that routings, work standards and method sheets are complete and accurately depict the performed work.
Directs the creation, evaluation and changes to the work instructions.
Continually drive actions and projects to eliminate/minimize non-value added work activities by guiding and supporting continuous improvement teams.
Identify and correct safety and ergonomic problem areas to insure a productive work environment.
Coordinate work assignments.
Lead the methods and standards support calculations and justifications for any incentive based payment programs (CIPP).
Education:
College degree in Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience :
3 plus years experience in Industrial Engineering.
Experience in developing and applying work standards. Including creating work instructions and operational method sheets (graphical method sheets or graphical work instructions preferred).
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing.
Experience with costing parts relative to setting work standards.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
Experience working within a manufacturing / shop floor environment.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience with various engineering tools (i.e. - Wplanner, AutoCAD, ALiSS).
2 plus years experience with Six Sigma.
Experience in developing and directing teams, dealing with outside contractors and contracted professionals.
Knowledge of working with incentive based compensation programs (CIPP).
Experience working in a Union environment.
Previous experience in a team lead or supervisory role.
