John Deere Phoenix International is seeking a Warranty and Reliability Analyst to provide complex analysis of product problem data to support future decisions and product improvements. In this position, you will:
Serve as a warranty expert in providing information to product teams so design modifications and improvements can be implemented.
Conduct complex, specialized analyses of product problem and reliability data such as warranty coverage and component life and repair cost estimates.
Monitor high-level product warranty concerns while seeking commitment and serve as a lead for department so necessary actions can be taken.
Create complex new reports and metrics using innovative approaches.
Manage unit specific projects in reviewing and establishing plans for improvements that will result in a reduction of fails/machine and an increase in customer satisfaction.
Lead process teams in the product problem resolution and reliability areas.
Responsible for estimating and calculating returns and allowances for current product improvements.
Communicate with customers regarding the plans and results of warranty projects.
Serve as an expert to others in the department in facilitating complex problem resolutions for customers.
Education
Bachelor's degree in a Statistics, Accounting, Marketing, or Engineering discipline preferred or equivalent work experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects.
Ability to organize and influence individuals and maintain a positive working relationship.
Interfacing with the end customer to better understand their experience with the product.
Readily adapt to changes in scope of assignment as business needs change.
Must be willing to travel approximately 25% of the time.
Desired Skills and Experience
General understanding of warranty systems.
Basic understanding of John Deere product lines.
Good understanding of the Agriculture or Construction industries.
Working knowledge of Six Sigma methodology.
