As our Store Lead, you'll assist store management by effectively leading the store team to achieve the sales, customer service and profitability goals through effective product, people and service planning. Functional area will be determined by store management and business needs. You'll be accountable for providing premium service to consumers through positive consumer interactions, demonstrating selling skills and expert-level product knowledge (including Footwear, Apparel, Accessories, Equipment, and Nike+). You'll articulate the value of Nike product to consumers using expert-level product knowledge. You'll also execute service strategies that reinforce a consumer-focused culture. You'll analyze the consumer's needs from initial contact through final touch point, while fostering a positive and professional Nike-consumer experience. You'll use your problem-solving skills to provide the consumer with a premium Nike experience and resolve any complaints or failure to deliver expected service levels in the absence of the Manager. Furthermore, you'll take appropriate steps in partnership with management to ensure staffing levels and team training needs are met to achieve consumer service and department revenue goals. You'll assist in maintaining visual standards and product presentation. In addition, you'll take on additional responsibilities that impact service as assigned by management (e.g., ensure proper execution against zone charts, fitting room maintenance, etc.).
Requirements for the position include:
- Must have or be pursuing a High School diploma or GED
- 3 years' retail or hospitality experience
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office knowledge
- Ability to perform basic math functions
- Experience with multi-line phones and 10-key
- Ability to effectively communicate in English
- Physical requirements include the ability to twist, bend, squat, reach, climb a ladder, lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to accomplish multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed
- Understanding of Retail Math is preferred
- 2 years' experience leading a floor team in fashion, footwear or apparel retailer
