John Deere Davenport Works is seeking an Engineering Supervisor to be responsible for achieving factory Quality goals and objectives in a small unit or in a related staff area of a medium to large unit including the developing and co-coordinating of Quality plans and processes. In this position, you will:
Lead and drive the quality efforts within the Motor Grader and Articulated Dump Truck (ADT) modules with a heavy focus in Order Fulfillment Process (OFP).
Supervise Quality Engineers and Wage Inspectors.
Direct responsibility for complex quality issues.
Be responsible for the final implementation of new Product Development Process (PDP) programs into the module.
Be the Quality Improvement Team (QIT) Lead.
Be the Module Core Team (MCT) Quality representative.
Lead all Warehouse Hold Discussions.
Be the Lead for Quality in daily production meetings.
Be the Owner of all Quality processes within the Motor Grader and ADT modules.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering/Technology, Science, Math, or Business/Management discipline or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Demonstrated ability to lead, facilitate, and effectively influence teams.
Excel at managing interpersonal dynamics, negotiation, and conflict resolution.
Cross functional work experience.
Deere Production System (DPS), Deere Product Quality System (DPQS) or other formal production/quality system experience.
FMEA / Control plan knowledge and experience.
Desired Skills and Experience
Heavy equipment product knowledge.
Experience with analyzing reliability data.
Continuous Improvement / Mistake Proofing experience.
