The p urpose of this position is to support the success of the organization by applying quality practices, principles and methodologies necessary to continually improve in a variety of manufacturing and business environments. The ideal candidate will have proven success building strong relationships across the organization and externally with ATMI’s customers; support system improvement plans and support program activities in a global environment. This person will interface directly with customers, facilitate corrective/preventive action plans across internal functional teams, and drive the resolution process in a timely manner. This position will be based out of ourBurnet, Texas location and report directly to the Quality Systems Manager. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Administer ATMI’s customer complaint process at assigned sites;
· Insuring two day complaint acknowledgment
· Ensure Fast complaint updates, internal and external
· Eliminate complaint backlog to goals set
· Insuring comprehensive & time based follow-up to issue resolution
Administer site specific customer self assessments and facilitating customer audits;
Initiate and/or drive continuous improvement activity identified by customer satisfaction reports, customer audits, internal and certification audits;
Act as liaison between customer and internal functional groups;
Establish and maintains metrics (i.e.: Corrective & Preventive Action, Customer Complaints). Analyze data to identify existing or potential trends, both positive and negative;
Maintain customer communication channels for regular communication on quality projects, metrics and roadmaps;
Provide feedback to management regarding significant customer issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and improvement actions;
Work cross functionally with sales, marketing and customer service business groups to ensure that customer requirements are met;
Responsible for leading internal audit functions (i.e. defining audit schedule, recruiting and training internal auditors, monitor and review audits, perform audits as required);
Function as ISO representative for the Burnet, TX and Round Rock, TX sites and facilitate external or third party audits;
Experienced at problem solving methodologies (i.e. 8D) to conduct analysis, identify root cause, develop corrective action and verify effective closure and removal of issues;
Provide quality systems training to internal personnel.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience in a technical field;
3-5 years related experience and/or training in the semiconductor industry;
Experience with global operations, customers, contract manufacturers and/or suppliers;
Internal auditing certification is required, lead auditor preferred;
Experience managing customer expectations;
Experience in analyzing, implementing and sustaining systems and processes for continuous improvement;
Ability to travel up to 15-20%.
