John Deere Parts Distribution Center is seeking a Senior Engineering Analyst to perform time studies, work and methods analysis and improvements, and some layouts of work areas. In this position, you will:

Perform detailed and complex empirical analyses covering the entire spectrum of warehousing functions including optimization of material receipt, storage, picking, and shipping at Milan PDC and the North American depots. Analyses performed may provide critical information necessary to calculate weekly performance bonuses for all CIPP plans at PDC and depots, as well as productivity data for operations to evaluate team and individual performances.
Calculate and post CIPP output standards using time study, W-Planner, and/or JD Standard data.
Adjust CIPP performance.
Revise CIPP bases as appropriate.
Develop and distribute CIPP performance graphs and ratio/performance reports.
Calculate and distribute Off-plan reports, Quality and PD5 reports, build and prepare workforce planning tools, calculate and report progress against 4% DPS productivity goal, as well as quality goals.
Be responsible for special project work including: CIPP performance issues (efficiency, problems, methods, etc.), non-CIPP performance issues, cycle time analysis, make vs. buy analyses, and cost/benefit evaluation of Capital Investment projects.
Answer Union standards/base questions, and resolve problems.
Use teamwork skills in resolving problems, discuss issues, and communicate potential solutions and results.
Serve on a CI team in the warehouse or distribution to promote continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Education

BS Industrial Engineering or General Engineering required.
Required Skills and Experience

1+ semester or equivalent experience with computer programming and database query reports.
Strong skills working within a team environment; uses teamwork skills in resolving problems, discussing issues, and communicating potential solutions and results.
Desired Skills and Experience

Experience with shop floor manufacturing, incentive pay systems such as CIPP (Continuous Improvement Pay Plan) and work measurement.
Experience with Industrial Engineering tools, systems and databases.
Ability to complete process improvements, that simplify the work performed and also provide employee training of Lean process improvements and procedures.
Effective time management skills are necessary due to multiple customer base and fast changing priorities.
Self-motivated with a positive attitude, flexible and can quickly adapt to changing priorities and job demands.
Able to work in group situations and help facilitate consensus decision making.
Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
Engineering degree or equivalent level of experience.
