John Deere Intelligent Vehicle Systems is seeking a Dealer Technical Assistance Center (DTAC) & Field Support Specialist to provide product and customer support for products, services, or initiatives and drives activities to improve reliability and serviceability of products. In this position, you will:
Provide technical support of field and dealer personnel via Dealer Technical Assistance Center (DTAC).
Write technical solutions which are communicated to dealers and company personnel.
Represent customer support in the Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).
Assist in developing and presenting training materials on new and existing products.
Provide product or technical support to field teams, channel partners, or customers on advanced problems.
May include implementation of reimbursement policies and may include Parts or Marketing recommendations. May coach channel partners in use of problem resolution tool to promote self-sufficiency.
Prioritize problems and research solutions; author and enter documentation on complex technical issues and solutions into database, or for bulletin publication.
May participate in development and/or execution of field programs for product non-conformance via Product Improvement Programs (PIPs).
Travel to the field to provide problem resolution on advanced problems.
Participate in problem solving teams and provide advanced research for model product delivery processes or product development programs.
Assist in development of Parts and Service programs and pricing strategies.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in an Education, Business/Management, Engineering/Technology, Agricultural Sciences, or a Marketing discipline highly preferred or equivalent education and experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Familiarity of all John Deere products, customers, markets and competitors.
Willingness to travel.
Work experience in a team environment.
Analytical, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
Customer interaction experience regarding products, parts, and services via phone or field support.
Self motivated, possess initiative to seek out additional responsibility.
Work experience, including any educational experience in the agricultural, consumer or heavy equipment markets.
Desired Skills and Experience
Ability to read electrical schematics.
Technical experience related diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulics.
Experience in training and development areas involved in activities such as instruction, needs assessments, curriculum development, and other such related training and development work.
Factory experience with regular interfacing with design, engineering, and manufacturing; worldwide geographic area of responsibility; and focused product-specific knowledge.
