John Deere is seeking an Drivetrain Design Engineer to perform component level design for transmissions on compact utility tractors. In this position, you will:
Design and develop transmission components and create related drawings.
Work with internal and external suppliers to source the materials needed for prototypes.
Build and performance test transmission prototypes.
Work with production suppliers to create durability parts.
Perform durability testing on production tooled parts and certify for release to production.
Be responsible for the post production design changes for transmissions recently put into production.
Qualifications
Education
Four year degree in Agricultural or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience
1+ years of experience with drivetrain and powertrain systems.
1+ years of experience with hydraulic systems.
Ability to identify solutions to technical problems.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience with modeling and assembly management.
Experience using Pro/E, Pro/I or a similar 3D modeling tool.
Experience with ROMAX analysis.
