Position Description
Maintain, install and repair electrical systems and associated electronic components of Plant Facilities, typical of which are buildings, power supplies, machinery, equipment, production, manufacturing process and material processing equipment and systems, controllers, programmable controllers, transformers and semiconductors. Perform electrical/electronic testing, servicing, diagnosis, troubleshooting, adjusting, calibration, repair and replacement of all electrical systems and associated electronic components. Plan, sequence and perform diagnostic analysis through operation of machinery, equipment, etc. and/or observation of such operations, and/or through analysis of information provided through test equipment, equipment self diagnostic systems or computer aided diagnostic systems. Develop and establish methods to accomplish required maintenance, repair, retrofit or modification of equipment and machinery.
Competencies
Ability to rewind, repair, rebuild and modify electrical motors, generators, pumps, servos control mechanisms, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment systems. Ability to use schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, manufacture/vendor manual and technical documents, logic ladders, ladder diagrams, and applicable Boeing Standards, national, state and municipal specifications, codes and ordinances. Knowledge, understand and apply specified safety standards established by Boeing, national, state, and municipal agencies. Operate and use electrical, electro mechanical and electronic test equipment and test system instruments, measuring devices, shop and power tools and machinery and powered hand tools
Education and/or Experience
Journeyman Electrician License Required.
