Overview :
Responsible for a wide variety of purchasing activities and functions in support of the materials and services used throughout the organization. This senior level position will collaborate with both internal and external staff to negotiate and control supply costs. The senior level position will be responsible for vendor selection and vendor negotiations on materials and/or services assigned to the role. This position requires both senior level decision making skills and task necessary to function within the new SAP environment. He/She will be a "working" individual with additional responsibilities for individual and departmental administrative and clerical tasks as are necessary to support the Purchasing Department.
Responsibilities :
Negotiate, approve, process and issue all purchase orders of specified Category spend vendors
Manage Category Spend Vendor selection, negotiations, competitive bidding processes and relations
Manage Internal Department Relations with Specific Business Units on spend items
Manage SOP Policy and Procedures for purchasing department
Collaborate and assist SAP integrators and SAP Business Analyst in processes, blueprinting, procedure, policies and functionality of the purchasing requirements and process within the SAP environment
Manage and develop training programs for centralized purchasing department
Qualifications :
5-7 years experience
BA/BS degree required.
3-5 years experience as a buyer or senior buyer working in an FDA/cGMP environment within the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, medical device, consumer healthcare or food industry.
3 years demonstrated knowledge and experience working with SAP in the MM and PP module.
2 - 5 years demonstrated experience working with SAP PP Module.
Ability to work independently with some supervision.
