John Deere Power Systems is seeking a Quality Audit Supervisor to provide quality planning, control, and improvement support for product development teams, manufacturing engineering, supply management, and manufacturing and/or distribution organizations to assure John Deere product quality meets the customers' expectations. In this position, you will:
Supervise wage employees in the engine production quality audit department.
Coordinate engine audit data collection and review.
Coordinate engine performance PPAP testing.
Plan and execute engine emissions testing for compliance with EPA regulations.
Perform root cause analysis for both internal and external returned engines.
Provide guidance to wage employees for root cause analysis of engines not meeting test specifications.
Education
Degree in an Engineering/Technology discipline or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Experience in testing, design or repair of diesel engines.
Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal.
Knowledge of drawing and schematic interpretation, product models, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
Desired Skills and Experience
Knowledge of Six-Sigma methodology.
Team Facilitation Skills.
Leadership aptitude.
Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes.
Understanding of EPA emission regulations.
Project Management experience.
Experience or ASQ Certification in Quality Engineering.
Understanding of Enterprise Product Delivery Process (EPDP).
