John Deere Dubuque Works is seeking an Assembly Manufacturing Engineer to plan, coordinate and perform manufacturing engineering work for a project or process of limited scope. In this position, you will:
Support Crawler Assembly and paint operations in Dubuque.
Lead cost and participate in cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic team activities.
Lead implementation of new products and programs into existing processes.
Establish and maintain work methods and documentation.
Work with electronic tools to perform engineering functions.
Design and coordinate the manufacture, purchase and maintenance of specialized assembly tools and fixtures.
Time study and line balance crawler assembly operations.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or related field or equivalent work experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Ability to work with, communicate with, and provide leadership and direction to a diverse group of production employees.
Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
2 plus years experience in Assembly Engineering with a solid understanding of Time Study/Assembly Line Balance.
Desired Skills and Experience
Skill in using computer aided design and /or engineering tools.
Work Measurement Tools (i.e. Wplanner).
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing through the Deere Production System.
Understanding of the Enterprise Product Delivery Process.
Cross functional engineering experience.
