This is a white box testing position (involves significant amount of programming) for the MSTV Client Test team. Responsibilities include test case creation, UI and API testing, white box testing, test tool creation and working closely with development to enhance design, testability, stability and performance. The prospective candidate must be independent, capable of working with minimal supervision and comfortable communicating regularly with development and program management team members.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- QA experience focusing on the development and design of test programs and tools (3+ years of experience)
- Develop, document, and execute detailed test cases and test suites
- Strong programming skills (2+ years of experience) with one of the following: C, C++, or C#
- Excellent problem solving and communication skills are required
- Willing to learn and program using new technologies
- Passion for improving the user experience and shipping quality product
- Education minimum requirement: BS in CS (or equivalent)
PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Development and QA experience with embedded systems
- Experience shipping 2 or more commercial applications in a testing role
- Experience with Windows NT/2000 and .NET a plus
