Position Description
The TSAT Teammate Integration IPT leader for the RRSD contract will be responsible for directing and managing the teammates with significant SW responsibility for TSAT and development for the asset management, network management, mission planning, and software loading software components. This position reports to the Director of Teammate integration. This position requires management and oversight of 6 subcontractors, as well as a core Boeing team. The successful candidate will work in concert with the Software IPT Lead, Chief Engineer, Systems Engineering and the other Product IPTs. The SW Teammate Integration Manager will be responsible for ensuring all software is developed in accordance with the program Software Development Plan (SDP). The successful candidate must perform in a complex, multi-company/multi-site software environment with subcontractors operating at various CMMI ratings. The software development tasks include: full product lifecycle software development, definition and refinement of software processes, regular development and statusing of key software technical, cost and schedule metrics. The successful candidate must have excellent communication and customer interface skills, and have a demonstrated/proven ability to work well with customers) & focus on customer satisfaction.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and typically 20 years experience in an engineering classification or either a Master's degree with 18 years' experience or a PhD degree with a minimum of 15 years experience in an engineering classification. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Other Job related information
Typically, candidates in this type of position would have at least 18 years experience in software development and a minimum of 5-7 years as an IPT Leader or manager. Must have proven experience successfully managing software subcontractors. Must have experience charting/establishing the course to meet customer expectations, setting high expectations for self and team, inspiring/motivating others, finding a way (id and resolve issues), and operating with high ethical and business conduct values. Must have proven experience at successfully managing a complex program to produce results within budget, schedule, and performance requirements. Must have experience in developing/maintaining team schedules, resource management, baseline management, process and performance metrics, risk management, identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, developing proposals, and other project management skills. Must be able to plan, organize, assign and delegate work to meet cost, technical and schedule requirements. Prefer candidates with experience developing proposals and/or Engineering Change Proposals. Proven leadership experience in project planning and execution; strong team-building skills; ability to build a cohesive team that is geographically separated; experience as a Control Account Manager and with Earned Value Management; software management in accordance with Boeing CMMI Level 5 software processes and Program Management Best Practices; excellent presentation skills; comfortable statusing difficult issues to senior management and Customers; excellent decision-making and problem solving capability; positive attitude, strong work ethics and ability to work with others. Desired knowledge/skills: Domain knowledge and experience in the theories and application of: Software architecture, management and control systems, software/hardware integration, embedded processing, interface design & communication system architectures.
