Main Job Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure profitability of the markets through prudent implementation of all strategic and tactical decisions.
Formulate short and long-range operating objectives, practices and programs based upon clear understanding of the markets and company strategy.
Ensure understanding of the financial status of the markets and monitor progress daily, weekly and monthly.
Ensure that community relationships are being built and local store marketing is being executed on a regular basis, in addition plan and execute promotional/marketing activities.
Spend quality time in each store observing managers, associates and troubleshooting, analyzing and identifying opportunities in the operations.
Oversee human resources, staffing and training for each market. Work with managers to analyze labor distribution to ensue adequate and proper staffing and training for each location.
Coach and develop Area Managers, holding them accountable for results in the markets in which they lead.
Skills Required
Ability to be a leader in change management.
Strong management development skills.
Strong written and verbal communications skills.
Experience Required
Minimum 10 years of strategic operations management experience is required.
Thorough knowledge of retail operations.
Education Required
Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or equivalent experience in related field.
