Can you drive and ship products which shape the ultimate social gaming experience? The Xbox team is looking for a Senior Producer who is experienced and passionate about innovative social games and is interested in shipping products which utilize new hardware and software technologies.
A successful candidate should have a proven record of delivering world-class products, preferably in the console games space; experience working with devices as well as in a pure software environment; demonstrated creative, design and problem-solving skills; and an effective communicator.
Cross-group strategy and leadership are required. You must have worked managing small teams and individual contributors as well as the ability to communicate and present information effectively and persuasively. You need to be able to effectively manage multiple interrelated and cross-group projects as well as external developers. The ability to function simultaneously on both tactical and strategic goals is required. You must also have a solid understanding of production techniques and milestones.
Major Responsibilities:
* Define a creative and attainable production path to take products from concept to completion
* Identify and manage external partners
* Drive internal and external teams to ship games which are on time and on budget
* Collaborate with the Executive Producer to evaluate the most compelling product offerings
* Act as the connecting point between management, business units, intellectual property partners and external development studios for your particular titles
* Work with the EP and Sparks incubation team to create and deliver compelling product concepts
* Own the vision for each of your titles and delivery commercially successful products
* Ability to travel (actual time estimated to be less than 20%)
Qualifications:
* 5+ years of successfully shipping video games with a substantial portion of your experience on console games
* A track record of defining, building and managing a world-class projects
* Established experience hiring and managing external production teams that have successful delivered your products
* Solid interpersonal skills to resolve production issues with internal and external resources and business units
* Excellent communication and presentation skills
* Experience and drive to grow a new business
* Proven track record of delivering successful products to the marketplace
* Ability to manage and work within ambiguity to reach a successful outcome
* A passion for games
* A working knowledge of the Microsoft Game Studio production process is a plus
* BA or work experience related to business development and game production
