John Deere World Wide Security is currently seeking a Manager of Security Operations & Services for 6 facility sites within Black Hawk County (Waterloo). In this position, you will:
Manage security activities and personal for all six Black Hawk County units.
Responsibilities include: security operations, integrating unit security policies and standards that are aligned with World Wide Security.
Provide leadership and guidance to security operations, which includes the large staff of security personnel at all locations and the central station/crisis management center that provides local, regional & national information, emergency and response to all units and employees.
Provide leadership and guidance to the Crisis Management Program, including
o Crisis Management Planning
o Crisis Management Training
o Program Maintenance
o Program Awareness
o Crisis Management Resources and Technologies
o Program Quality Assurance
Actively coordinates with all units to help develop, maintain and exercise Crisis Management Programs.
Directs and participates during crisis emergency or serious situations that require security planning, involvement, and intervention.
Provides management, planning and technical expertise for all 6 units on the design, installation, integration, and maintenance of fire, security, and life safety systems.
Work with various agencies such as local emergency, government and civil services to ensure adequate warning and action procedures are in place related to fires, explosions, and natural disasters.
Maintains close liaison with law enforcement agencies and criminal justice.
Provides strategic planning and capital budget recommendations for security equipment, technology and systems to support all BHC units.
Ensures that all Black Hawk County security systems are updated and operational and that projects are aligned with the global Security initiatives of the company.
Manage, develop and consult on new security systems.
Conduct facility security audits and makes enhancement recommendations to work site management for matters related to:
o Security equipment repairs, upgrades and installs
o Officer staffing requirements, performance and training needs
o Security processes and procedures
Education
Degree in Business Management, Security Operations, Systems & Services preferred or equivalent work experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Ability to manage multiple work site locations.
Knowledge of business and management principles in areas such as strategic planning, project management, resource allocation, teamwork development, and leadership technique.
Understanding of regional political environment and affairs.
Analytical skills.
Demonstrated experience managing complex project from conception to implementation.
4 plus years Supervisory experience.
Solid experience with Business Continuity Planning.
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Knowledge of loss prevention strategies.
Knowledge of security systems and related technical information.
Desired Skills and Experience
Previous or current experience within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in a security / operations role.
Experience managing multiple site locations.
Certification in Business Continuity Planning or Emergency Planning Management is a plus.
