John Deere Harvester is seeking a Supervisor Testing to supervise a functional group of technical support and non-professional personnel who plan and execute Product Verification and Validation (PV&V) tests of varying complexity on products, components or technologies for feasibility, development or durability testing. In this position, you will:
Establish master schedule for all tests and equipment to ensure that testing is completed to meet the Product Verification plan established by (EPDP) process.
Perform administrative duties related to performance management and training and development of direct reports - 25 IAM (UNION) employees.
Develop, track, and meet the capital and expense budget for building / test lab department.
Also will be required to fill in on the assembly floor on combine and seeding products.
Education
2 year or 4 year degree in Engineering, Technology, Science discipline or equivalent experience.
Required Skills and Experience
Technical skills in data collection tools.
Demonstrated leadership capability and project management skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Desired Skills and Experience
Technical skill and knowledge in a specialized area of engineering such as: design, analysis, test & evaluation.
Technical experience relating to design/diagnostics of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems.
Product engineering experience.
Product design experience.
Experience with engineering tools, systems and databases.
