John Deere Davenport Works is seeking a Scheduler to schedule raw material (steel plate & purchased components) into the fabrication departments. In this position, you will:
Launch primary and miscellaneous components to meet production schedules.
Manage inventory and movement of WIP/finished inventory between departments.
Work on projects to improve inventory accuracy and material flow.
Prioritize work to provide work direction of the production control personnel.
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent related work experience is required.
Required Skills and Experience
Production control knowledge (including related systems/applications).
Proficient with Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel).
Comfortable working in a team environment.
Capable of working with limited supervision.
Desired Skills and Experience
Experience managing/scheduling material flow within a fabrication operation (including scheduling & inventory control of raw steel plate, primary parts, miscellaneous components and purchased parts).
Understanding of Deere Production System (DPS) and Deere Product Quality Sytem (DPQS).
Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Just In Time, Kanban and Demand Flow principles.
