Position Description
Advanced Global Strike Systems, located in St. Louis, Missouri (MO), is seeking a proactive, mid-level Signature Integration Engineer with strong analytical, design, and integration skills for a special project. This position is responsible for design, analysis and integration of airframe design features such as edges, crew stations, control surfaces, outer moldline shaping and other surface features. Candidate must have a strong understanding of the fundamentals of radar cross section, its design techniques and develop solutions that are affordable, robust, supportable, and meet the needs of the next generation of air systems. Candidate must have a good understanding of design, materials and processes, structures, manufacturing, and supportability. Candidate must have a strong analytical/design background especially in using 2D and 3D Method-of-Moments (MOM), 3D Physical Optics/Physical Theory Diffraction (PO/PTD), and geometry/grid generation tools. The ability to use Boeing/Industry standard tools CARLOS, CADDSCAT, and Mr_Patches/Hypermesh is a plus. The ability to write/debug tools using MathCAD, Visual Studio, and/or FORTRAN is a plus. The ability to use Unigraphics NX4 or similar Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tool is required. Candidate must be able to lead/perform trade studies with multiple Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and work together to come up with an integrated solution. Candidate must have experience in indoor and outdoor Radar Cross Section (RCS) range testing of coupons, components, and systems. Candidate having experience with writing supplier Request for Information/Request for Procurement (RFI/RFP), coordinating/managing supplier tasks, and inspecting supplier products before delivery is a plus. Candidate should have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats, as well as, present programmatic and technical briefings to communicate status, plans and issues to internal/external customers.

Knowledge of test facility, instrumentation, and calibration techniques. Ability to apply knowledge of planning, directing, conducting and documenting radar cross section and antenna/radome testing as well as interpreting associated test results to validate and verify measurements. Ability to define test article. Knowledge of development, production, certification, qualification, quality assurance and acceptance testing of materials, products and processes including governing regulations, standards, and compliance requirements. Ability to apply electromagnetic theory to develop new measurement techniques and processes.

Extensive and specialized knowledge of electromagnetic theory and physics to research and design low observable systems and components. Knowledge of low observable materials and processes; low observable design techniques and approaches; integration of low observable designs with other disciplines (such as structures, propulsion, and antennas) both internal and external; design trades and optimization; and electromagnetic analysis and modeling. Ability to apply low observables theory to develop new materials, processes, and techniques.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and typically 9 to 13 years experience in an engineering classification or either a Master's degree with 7 to 11 years experience or a PhD degree with 4 to 8 years experience in an engineering classification. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
