Position Description
As a member on the National Team 'B', the candidate will be responsible for providing user support (Help Desk) for C2BMC deployed sites, maintain BMDS Simulation environment at AP2, and provide installation and integration of the BMDS simulations at NTB Labs. Candidate will maintain the HW/SW required to execute BMDS Simulation, develop and maintain tools, such as installation scripts, integration scripts, and ATS database tools, to install and execute BMDS Simulation, and provide day to day activities associated with successfully running BMDS Simulations. ----------------------Technical Skills/Experience Required:--------------------------------------------------------------- The selected candidate must have experience in the following areas: 1) Linux/Unix administration and installation 2) Test and Integration of custom software applications in Unix/Linux environment 3) Unix/Linux Shell/Perl Programming 4) Configuration Management 5) High-level software trouble diagnosis 6) Help desk support Ideal candidate is a self-starting problem solver, with the ability to work with limited supervision. Candidate should have the ability to write procedures for various types of system installations. C/C++/Java Development experience is a plus. Experience in test, installation, integration, and maintenance of missile defense simulations desired. Required active SECRET clearance, TOP SECRET clearance a plus. Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutions. Evaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Performs various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture. Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues. Works under minimal direction.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry and typically 9 to 13 years experience in an engineering classification or either a Master's degree with 7 to 11 years experience or a PhD degree with 4 to 8 years experience in an engineering classification. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
