Position:
Lead Geotechnical Engineer
|
Job Description:
Our Natural Resource, Industry and Infrastructure (NRII) unit is looking to add a supervisory level Geotechnical Engineer to support the Rocky Mountain Business Unit from the Denver, Colorado office location. The primary responsibilities for this role will include:
' Performing independently or leading a team, potentially a multinational team, for completing geotechnical investigations, geotechnical analyses (seepage, stability, consolidation, etc.), and designs associated with tailing dams, heap leach facilities and other mining related structures
' Acting as a task manager or a project manager on a range of mining related projects
' Communicating with clients, managing budgets, preparing proposals, performing presentations, and writing and reviewing reports
Qualifications
' Bachelor of Science in Geotechnical Engineering
' 8-15 years of progressive geotechnical engineering experience most recently within the mining industry
' Must be detail oriented and accustomed to producing high quality work
' Will need to demonstrate solid report writing skills and presentation/speaking skills
' A demonstrated responsibility for leadership of tasks and design teams is required
' Project management skills, including planning, scope development, budgets and schedules, quality control are required
' Must be willing to travel, at times internationally
' Experience working with interdisciplinary design teams is preferred
' Field/construction experience is preferred
' Bilingual ' Spanish is preferred
