Quality Technician
JOB SUMMARY:
Ensures quality of incoming piece parts and materials by inspecting and evaluating according to engineering specifications. Administer and maintain non-conforming material program. Apply quality, statistical, and performance evaluation techniques to thoroughly validate products after release from Engineering and prior release to production and our customers, ensuring products meet industry standards. Must be self motivated, able to work independently or in groups and provide direction to others.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Proficiency in measurement analysis tools, including, but not limited to, the following pieces of equipment:
a) Calipers
b) Micrometers
c) Scales
d) Dial Indicators
e) Height Gauges
Using instruments, equipment, and testing procedures relevant to the Quality Control Lab in testing of newly manufactured product.
The ability to interpret blue prints and engineering drawings.
Assisting with the resolving trouble reports, testing samples, and maintaining record keeping.
Data Entry, Data collection, charting and analysis a must
Completes accurate inspections and measurements of sheet metal, fabricated, assembled and purchased parts to confirm compliance with customer specifications and quality standards.
Assist in training of others
Report any noncompliance of safety rules and regulations
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The successful candidate will be organized, a self-started, a team player and work well with others
Able to speak, write, and read and follow instructions in English, Spanish a plus
Math skills are required.
Ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, E-mail and other Windows-based quality software applications
High school or equivalent, but college preferred
