Want to have fun? Are you creative? The Retail Services group is looking for a Visual Merchandising Manager! The Visual Merchandising Manager will:

Drive creative execution and production on permanent, semi-permanent, and promotional in-store merchandising for various retail accounts
Collaborate with Retail Creative Services Team and sales team on details and logistics for online and in-store Implement displays work with the sales team to manage the order, assembly and distribution process into the retail channel
Maintain creative standards and design construction integrity
Establish and maintain an approval process for P.O.P. items
Manage creative and production budgets for each project
Manage the master timelines of merchandising activities and effectively communicate both internally and externally to develop necessary partnerships with Sales, Legal, Operations and our 3rd party Partners (Retailers and Vendors)

Summary:
Manage the execution of Microsoft's Retail Visual Merchandising elements from creation and implementation through to production including development and management of channel marketing plans, special promotions, new product launches, individual product/reseller programs and execution of optimized production methods.

Job description:
The right candidate will have strong project management skills, ability to communicate and collaborate effectively and concisely both verbally and in written form, a high degree of creativity in design and implementation, strong attention to detail, excellent organization and ability to effectively manage multiple projects, ability to effectively influence others in multiple groups and collaborate to achieve specific objectives, ability to work independently and take action to achieve position goals and objectives, must be self-motivated and have the skills and ability to manage long-term projects with little direction, have the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast pace environment. Own the creative process, budget, time to market scheduling and channel execution of software and games category/channel retail promotions and merchandising. Manage the creation execution and operational development of pallet displays, various point of purchase material, rebate coupons, channel incentive and other marketing briefings etc. Drive all associated merchandising surrounding strategic Microsoft product launches. Manage the 3rd party creative vendors relating to merchandising material development. Manage the master timelines of merchandising activities and maintain effective communication of project's status to both internal and external sources. Have a strong understanding of channel marketplace, retail outlets and distribution methods and marketing activities (PR, demand generation, consumer activities). Give relevant feedback on the results of the promotional activities and the actual vs. planned implementation. Give recommendations to the channel-marketing managers on timing and tactics and work these out. Provide strategic merchandising guidance to Microsoft's international subsidiaries.

Qualifications:
BA or equivalent 4-year degree
MBA a plus
3-5 years of relevant experience in the retail channel (e.g., agency/vendor experience)
Proven online marketing experience with sales trend analysis, market share, and merchandising planning
Product/ Channel marketing experience and/ or store planning experience
