Senior Accountant

Job Description:
Our client is positioned as a premier niche’ participant in the international offshore marine services industry and is experiencing tremendous growth which will allow the successful candidate the opportunity for career growth within the organization. Position offers too many benefits to mention and a CPA designation is a plus but not required.
Responsibilities include: · Perform monthly accounting close process and assist in the preparation of financial statements · Financial analysis including revenue, operations, expenses, and variance analysis · Monthly financial reporting including income statement, balance sheet and budgeting. · Annually budgeting and forecasting including cash flow statements · Work closely with accounts receivables/payables and payroll department to ensure accurate reporting · Communicate with operations personnel as well as vendors to ensure accurate reporting and adherence to contractual agreements · Ad hoc reporting and special projects as assigned by the Controller and CFO Requirements: · Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or Business field; CPA a plus but not required · Minimum of 2 years of professional accounting experience including strong general ledger accounting, reconciliations and month-end/year end closing · Excellent communication skills both written and oral · Strong software skills including experience with Excel and Word; SAP is a plus · Ability to work independently with little supervision
