Starting salary: $67,000 - $80,000 commensurate with experience. Total compensation includes salary, bonus, and comprehensive benefits.

John Deere Credit is looking for an Accounting Business Analyst to be responsible for coordinating and facilitating all new and existing business/process functions into the Essbase system for use in financial and management reporting at John Deere Credit. The individual will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and creating Essbase reporting functionality with new and existing lines of business.
This is position is responsible for coordinating and facilitating all new and existing business/process functions into the Hyperion Essbase system for use in financial and management reporting at John Deere Credit. The individual will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and creating Essbase reporting functionality with new and existing lines of business.
Major Duites:
Partners with operational areas to translate high level business requirements into detailed business/process functional specification in order to implement a technological solution for complex projects including processes that are complex. May also perform system configuration, system testing, end user training, and end user support for the processes after implementation. Projects or processes are complex due to the combination of many of the following:
-Degree of application integration, data integration, process integration
-Degree to which innovation is required vs. relatively linear expansion or enhancement of existing functionality
-Complexity of data environment
-Extent of impact of project or process
-Number of business processes impacted
Interfacing existing and/or new IT systems with Essbase.
Implementing the Essbase Analyzer Tool to create standard business reports to be used by management in their analysis.
Serves as a liaison with business partners, end users, user groups, and/or business management.
Acts as a mentor and consults with co-workers on new innovative industry standards and system development methodologies as appropriate.
Evaluate, develop and implement new accounting processes, relating to Essbase, to maximize operating efficiencies and satisfy business requirements.
Coordinate and facilitate all outline, calculation scripts, and account changes to Essbase.
Maintains a strong and collaborative relationship with the business and IT and serves as a strong advocate of the new/enhanced process or solution through various methods of communication to the organization.
Uses project management skills on project ensuring project plan, resource availability and tasks are met while adhering to the approved system development methodology.
Skills:
Understanding of computer technology, methodology, and full life-cycle development.
Ability to analyze, translate, and define business requirements into technical solutions.
Understanding of financial concepts such as Budgets, Discounted Cash Flow (DCF), Return on Investment (ROI), Operating Return on Assets (OROA), Shareholder Value Added (SVA), etc.
Capable of collaborating with business leaders to provide information technology solutions.
Skill in interpersonal communication, negotiation, supplier management relations, and conflict resolution.
Knowledge of and experience with Hyperion Essbase and Planning systems.
Knowledge of and experience with SAP, Business Objects, SQL, Oracle, DB2.
Understanding of application development, database administration, database design and infrastructure capabilities and constraints.
Analytical skills
Education
Degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline or equivalent experience.
Degree in Information Technology discipline or 4 – 7 years equivalent experience.
Experience
Knowledge of and experience with Hyperion Essbase and Planning systems.
Information technology experience and/or business experience.
Experience implementing major Information Technology programs or projects that are broad in scope or multi-unit/cross divisional.
A broad background of business experience within or outside the Company.
Demonstrated team leadership and mentoring experience.
