There are over 3 billion mobile phone subscribers globally and consumers are the largest and fastest growing segment of the smart device market. Microsoft's Mobile Communications Business (MCB) is seeking a Channel Marketing Manager to reach consumers by managing the planning and execution of all marketing activities across local retail, distribution, OEM, and Mobile Operator consumer sales channels. Our partners play a pivotal role in the Windows Mobile ecosystem. You will work directly with them to develop programs and promotions to build and market the Windows Mobile category of phones, services and solutions. You will develop and land innovative end-to-end channel marketing programs that link demand generation and sales readiness to conversion. You will work with executives and key stakeholders within Mobile Operators, handset OEMs, and internal Microsoft teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the Microsoft mobile channel strategy, plan and execution for local market.
Create and execute compelling Windows Mobile marketing and sales programs that drive growth of the category of phones and solutions.
Drive sales and marketing engagement with key regional retailers, distributors and OEMs and evangelize Windows Mobile.
Develop ongoing relationships with retail partners and device OEMs for mutual collaboration and leverage in current channels and expansion into new channels.
Manage retail product rollouts, budget allocations, ROI metrics, and timely execution.
Manage the design, production, and execution of Microsoft-originated merchandising and POP material for local use.
Drive partner training and advocacy including organization of training events and actively promote our online training resources.
Provide regular reporting on market performance and maintain relevant business scorecards.
Assist with the marketing of mobile services.
Key Success Criteria:
Achievement of key performance indicators across channel and partner activities.
Meeting target goals of Windows Mobile trained dealers / VAR resellers across the region.
Negotiating with and gaining commitments from the key players in the supply chain, including: OEM's, distributors, Mobile Operators and key retailers.
Cross team collaboration with functional leads including COI, MCB, HED, OSB, and SMS&P.
Management of local marketing budget.
Qualifications & Competencies:
5-7 years of experience in product, channel, or consumer marketing with a proven track record of working with partners. BS or BA in Business or Marketing with a MBA is preferred.
Excellence in strategic thinking, planning, quantitative, and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communications skills that convey expertise and confidence.
Strong understanding of the mobile consumer channels - Mobile Operator, distributor and OEM - primarily focused around retail.
Broad knowledge of the wireless industry and the mobile retail marketplace.
Ability to develop strong external partner relationships from Manager to Senior Executive levels across multiple marketing disciplines.
Technical aptitude necessary to achieve proficiency with - Windows Mobile software and services.
