PRODUCT MANAGER Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Facilitate and direct the development and purchase of private branded products.
Drive private brand and product management. Ensure all products are brand and customer appropriate.
Partner with the merchant staff and other stake holders, providing leadership in creating private branded product
Communicate, conceptualize, develop, and set standards for all private branded products, direct import, and domestic imports.
Seek development opportunities domestically and overseas.
Work with overseas agent and domestic manufacturers to source private branded products.
Creates comprehensive, cohesive brand assortments/presentations.
Sources product to spec, pricing, and timing.
Complete follow-up and ensure products conform to specifications, quality standards, deadlines, deliveries, legal requirements, and packaging/labeling specs.
Facilitate the approval process for all private branded merchandise purchased (trims, packaging, color, fabric, fit, etc).
Interface with design and trend team to assist in development of private brands.
Key Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
Extensive buying, line building and merchandising experience.
Demonstrated leadership experience in product development/merchandising.
Private brand experience
Overseas travel, sourcing and buying experience
Thorough knowledge of product manufacturing techniques, fabrications, and costing
Superior planning, time management, organizational, verbal/written communication skills
