Position Description
Establishes innovative solutions to creating and implementing the design and structure of a Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) database. Serves as the focal for LSAR database integration activities with other disciplines and data repositories. Leads the establishment of LSAR type database structures, defines data element requirements, administers data within the database, develops ad-hoc reports and generates standardized reports. Reviews, assesses and documents supportability impacts associated with complex product design changes. Evaluates advanced processes or methods to document and maintain data elements applicable to provisioning. Develops models and performs analysis on complex systems and products to identify and recommend initial spares requirements. Leads and supports the evaluation and identification of product/part breakdown structures and identification of part/subassembly hierarchy needed for supportability. Develops analytical models used to perform analyzes and trade studies. Implements the design and structure of the Future Combat Systems (FCS) Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) database. Establishes LSAR type database structures and alignment with additional supportability functions such as S1000D data module structure, defines data element requirements, administers data within the database, develops ad-hoc reports and generates standardized reports. Reviews, assesses, and documents supportability impacts associated with complex product designs and system architectures across multiple FCS platforms and systems. Resolves issues related to data integration and data structure. Evaluates and identifies product/part breakdown structures and identifies the hierarchy of parts and subassemblies needed for supportability. Reviews, establishes, documents and maintains the data elements applicable to provisioning. Performs analysis on complex systems and products to assist in the identification of recommended spares requirements. Reviews the analytical results of others to determine adequacy and accuracy. Assists in complex trade studies and analysis. Works under minimal direction.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree and typically 14 to 19 years' related work experience or a Master's degree with 12 to 17 years' related work experience or a PhD degree with 9 to 14 years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Other Job related information
Candidate must be very familiar with GEIA-STD-0007, S1000D, MIL-STD-1388-2B, and MIL-PRF-49506 development and analysis. Candidate must have had prior experience using LSA (Logistics Support Analysis)Software tools like PowerLog-J or SLICWave. Candidate must the ability to create LSA source tables from many sources (Excel, Word, etc) and be able to load them a PowerLog-J database. Must be able to perform Integrated Logistics Support planning, system support analysis, supportability trade studies, business case analysis and product lifecycle support definition. Candidate familiarity with COMPASS modeling tool is a plus. Candidate having Oracle experience or be able to write SQL statements is a plus. Candidate should have knowledge how to read and import XML data and associate schemas as well. Ability to travel is required.
