Senior Accountant
Individual Contributor/IC4
*Primary Responsibility:
Responsible for the world-wide General Ledger, the world-wide consolidation, financial reporting packages and financial statements.
GL account analysis, prepare journal entries, full G/L responsibilities including account reconciliations and analysis of Balance Sheet and P & L accounts and bank accounts
Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual close packages consistent with US GAAP, including quarterly consolidated balance sheets and cash flow statements.
Assist in the preparation of Quarterly Financial Statements, Annual Financial Statements and other SEC Filing.
Coordination of accounting for assigned operations
Preparation of quarterly and year-end audit support for outside CPA firm
Responsible for monthly royalty accruals calculation
Ensure all intercompany transactions are properly recorded in the correct business units.
Ensure that transfer pricing have been properly calculated and recorded in the correct business units.
Preparation for Sarbanes-Oxley testing and ensure compliance with all related controls
Lead process improvement, redesign, or documentation projects to streamline and automate practices and procedures
Support the Finance department initiative over enterprise reporting to drive operational efficiencies and data access.
Assist with special projects as designated by management
Requirements:
BS degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent is required, CPA strongly preferred
A minimum of 5+ years demonstrated experience as a Corporate Accountant (hands-on general accounting role including general ledger, accounting for international subsidiaries and internal control systems and systems knowledge)
Strong knowledge of US GAAP
Detail oriented with strong organizational, analytical & research skills
Experience in a multi-national company that is growing at a rapid pace
Exceptionally strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse groups cross-functionally
Effective organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task, work in an independent manner and seek assistance when needed
Hands-on experience and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Work experience in the Software industry preferred
Strong experience with Peoplesoft Financials version 8.0 or higher preferred
Ability to understand the industry happenings and how the company is positioning itself
