John Deere Power Systems (JDPS) is seeking an Industrial Nurse to provide initial assessment of work related injuries and illnesses and following up with appropriate treatment or referral to physician. In this position, you will:



Manage and coordinate JDPS Wellness program and Fitness Center.
Plan annual Health Fair event.
Document and maintain injury or illness record keeping and medical records per government or company requirements.
Provide case management for occupational injuries and illnesses to ensure employees receive appropriate care to minimize time away from work.
Evaluate employee work restrictions and communicate/coordinate information with physicians, supervisors and Safety Department personnel.
Plan and execute programs for health education, accident prevention, and evaluation of the work environment in accordance with overall program guidelines.
Perform medical screenings and assessments to comply with applicable laws, ensure fitness for duty and protect the workforce from hazards.
Perform various tasks such as: physicals for pre-employment, hearing tests; respirator fit tests, respirator training, personal protective eye and hearing care dispensing and repair.
Prepare employees for international business travel and administer any needed immunizations.


Education



Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (RN) highly preferred.
Certified Occupational Health Nurse.
CPR Certification, Audiometric Technician, Spriometry trained.


Required Skills and Experience



Good understanding of Occupational Health principles and can independently use the knowledge.
Ability to administer first aid treatment or evaluate and refer for advanced medical attention,
Ability to perform nursing/occupational health duties to meet employee needs.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word).
3-5 years industrial nursing experience.


Desired Skills and Experience



Demonstrated project management experience.
Experience with wellness programs.
Experience with training off-the-job safety programs.
Any case management software, i.e. MedGate.
