With the development of XNA based titles such as The Dishwasher: Dead Samurai, Schizoid and Blazing Birds for Xbox Live Arcade, it is clear that Microsoft game publishing business can benefit from the creativity and innovation of the XNA Community, and that professional developers can benefit from the efficiency of our paradigm shifting framework and tools.
We are looking for a senior program manager to integrate and coordination XNA Game Studio within professional game development programs. The responsibilities include ensuring that professional game developers are enabled and empowered to write their games with XNA Game Studio, and that Microsoft can build and sustain a profitable business based on these games. Responsibilities include identifying issues in the game development and certification process before they arise, and ensuring that appropriate proactive and reactive measures are taken.
Candidates are expected to have strong communication and problem solving skills, a high degree of customer focus, and a powerful drive for results. Organizational and coordination skills are also a must. Candidates should have at least five years of product development experience as a PM, developer or tester. A degree in computer science or related engineering field is a plus, as is game coding experience.
